"FREE" Mystery Block of the Month General Information
Please read through the information closely. Since this is a "FREE" project, we WILL NOT be answering any emails. If you have a question that is not listed below, please call the shop at 763-792-0638.

When does it start?
Each year in January, our NEW Mystery BOM starts. It ends between October - December.
When is the block released?
Each block is released on the 2nd Friday of each month. To access block, click the link below each block.
How long will it stay on the website?
You have 30 days to "click & print" off your free pattern. After that or when the next block is released the free pattern will no longer be available. Please note, we DO NOT EMAIL OR SEND out any blocks if you miss it; no exceptions! It is your responsibility to check back monthly and print off the free pattern.
Are kits available for each block?
Yes! We always offer kits for our designs. If you missed printing off the pattern, this is your best option to purchase and pick back up where you left off.
Is autoship available?
We have several kits available for automatic shipping. Head over to our monthly products to start today! Finishing kits are included with the autoship program. You will not need to order it.
Is there a floss kit available?
Typically, we do offer a floss kit starting the 2nd month.
Are button packs available?
Yes! Button packs are available after the first 3 blocks. Then every 3 blocks another set will be available.
Please give credit to Buttermilk Basin when sharing your blocks!
On a side note:
Each pattern is scanned in as a PDF to the correct size and saved. It is not changeable once it is saved and uploaded for you. Therefore, we are not responsible for the output on your end, which would include printing issues, settings on your computer/printer, etc.
Rather than emailing us for assistance, we recommend purchasing the kit where you will receive a full-size pattern & all the fabric and wool needed to complete the project! We are happy to offer this to you so we can have a fun and stress free journey through the "Mystery BOM" with you!
*** Patterns may not be shared, saved, scanned in or uploaded anywhere, including online forms, Facebook, Facebook Groups, Stitch-A-Longs, etc. Shops are not allowed to use these designs in anyway.***
Please leave your fabric an inch bigger (as suggested), as we will be trimming them down later, once we are ready to put the quilt together! Thanks for joining us!!
