Buttermilk Basin Frequently Asked Questions

At the Basin, we are here to assist you!  If you have questions about our products, blocks of the Week, Block of the Month, Clubs, your order or anything in general, please refer to the info and contact us at any time and we will do our best to accommodate you!

We use the United States Postal Service (USPS) for most of our shipments. Occasionally we will choose United Parcel Service (UPS) or FedEx for very large shipments. If you prefer UPS or FedEx, please call, email, or leave a note with your order. Please note that shipping with one of these alternate methods, may incur additional shipping charges.

We typically get most orders filled and shipped within 1-3 days, unless it is an “event” and then there may be a delay. If you are a U.S. customer, your order will likely arrive within 3-7 business days of shipment. For our international customers, orders may take 2-8 weeks to arrive.

If you are currently in a BOM, BOW or Club, you will need to make sure Paypal has your correct shipping information, as we ship to the address shown in their system and are not responsible for shipments sent to an incorrect address.  If you are signed up through our us, please contact us at the shop to make any changes needed.

If you have a coupon code, enter it on the view cart page before checking out.

Our coupons can occasionally be found in our email newsletter or right on our website.  Sign up for our newsletter using the link at the top of our homepage.

If you have a Gift Certificate, enter the code on the Payment Page above the credit card section during checkout. Entering your gift certificate code on the View Cart page will not work, as that section is for coupon codes. Please note that Gift Certificates expire 1 year from date of purchase.

We do.  Feel free to send us a letter inquiring and we will see if your request meets our requirements and we can help you out.  We do have a limit so it is not guaranteed.

We try our best to keep the colors and prints the same in our kit. However, due to supply that cannot always occur. We reserve the right to change colors to what we deem best fit for the project to reflect its design.

Yes it can! We offer a 10 day period after your order is placed for missed or incorrect pieces, patterns, buttons etc. We are no longer responsible for any incorrect parts after the 10 days have expired. Instructions are the exception if there is an issue.

Once an order has been shipped we allow a 20 day window for you to contact us regarding missing/never delivered shipments. To reach us please email us at contactbuttermilkbasin@gmail.com or give us a call at 763-792-0638.

We unfortunately cannot honor deals or offers any days before or after they are available. The exception is when calling on an offer that is valid on Saturday or Sunday as we are closed. We are open Monday-Friday 8am - 4pm for any orders on these types of days!

If order is returned back to us for any reason we are not responsible for a reshipment. Reshipment of your order will be at your own expense.


Buttermilk Basin Block of the Month FAQ

Block of the Months (BOMs) make creating easy and fun! Choose the program you love, sign-up and then the rest is automatic. Each month you will be charged and sent everything you need to complete one Block/Kit. The length, cost and details of each program vary so please refer to the program description for specific details.

Our Clubs work the same way but instead of a Block each month you receive a Kit to make that months’ project.

When you sign-up for a program, it is understood that you are signing up for the entire program and we will reserve an entire quilt/program for you. Your Block/Kit charge will automatically occur on the billing date for the program using the credit card you used to sign-up for the program.

Just call us at 763-792-0638 or by email at contactbuttermilkbasin@gmail.com.  We respond to all emails/phone calls within 1-2 business days. If you do not receive a response from us within that time, we encourage you to resend your email or give us a call.

Your Block will ship 1-4 business days following the billing date.

Please allow the following time for your package to arrive:

Domestic: 10 business days and International: typically 2-3 weeks, can be up to 6-8 weeks.

If you do not receive it within this time call or email us to let us know. While having a missing block is frustrating, rest assured, we will make sure you receive everything you need in order to complete your project.

Everything that is included in your program is listed in the product description as well as on the Welcome Letter that you receive with your first shipment. Please refer to those first and then let us know if you have any additional questions.

If your program includes the sashing, borders and binding they are included in the final shipment of the program.

We understand mistakes happen, so if this is case let us know and we will do whatever we can to help you remedy it.

Our programs are assembled on a month-to-month basis at this time.

Typically, NO!  Please call us to sign up.  Your account will be charged for the prior months Blocks/Kits to get you caught up with the program. The Blocks/Kits will then be shipped together. This usually occurs within a week after you sign u

As noted in the program descriptions, Block of the Month/Club programs are non-cancellable/non-refundable. When you sign-up for the Block of the Month we reserve an entire quilt/program for you. Once we begin shipping Blocks we are then left with an incomplete quilt kit/program.

We do, however, understand that unexpected things happen in life. If this is the case please contact us by phone or email and we will work something out with you.

We are unable to combine shipping of Block of the Month/Club items as they are billed on different days and are prepackaged with predetermined weights.

If your charge does not go through for your Block/Kit we will call or email you to let you know right away. If we do not get a response from you, we will try again.  We always appreciate a call or email you from you to let us know if there is a problem or a special situation.
