Here at Buttermilk Basin, we are blessed with an ever-growing community of stitchers and sewers that has embraced Stacy and her work for over 15 years. They are passionate about creating, learning, sharing and truly are the “heart and soul” of our community!
Today, with the voices of generations of handwork enthusiasts before her nudging her on, Stacy creates like a madwomen and gives from her heart, while continuing to honor the handwork tradition and embrace old-fashioned values. She truly is grateful for those who support and follow her creative journey!

Creating, Sharing & Giving Back
Here are some of our creative ways we give back to our community:
FREE “Mystery” Block of the Month
Each year we create an “exclusive” project just for YOU to “click & print” off here on our website. {How exciting is that?} Each month, on the 2nd Friday, a new block is revealed! This is a “thread” that binds us together all year long!
Monthly Online & In Store Events
Our customers {LOVE} our monthly “themed” events! Our events are unlike no other and designed with YOU in mind! From new offerings, specials, recipes and “FREE” puzzle piece patterns, our events will inspire you to create and keep your fingers nimble!
In-Store Shopping & Events
Weekly, we open the doors of our design studio and retail shop to the public. We are also open by appointment. If you are coming into the Twin Cities, be sure to give us a jingle! We love hosting private events and we always have fun sharing our space with the people who support and encourage us.
“LUCKY” Friday Giveaways
Every Friday on our Facebook page, we give away numerous free patterns, kits or goods to our followers just for engaging by leaving a comment on our “LUCKY” Friday post! “FREE” SEW-A-LONGS
As many of you know, Stacy is also a fabric designer for Henry Glass Fabrics and Riley Blake Designs, which means she is continually creating new & exciting fabric and wool lines to work with. As a way of “celebrating” a new line, she designs an “exclusive” project for you to use her new fabric and wool to sew-a-long with!
We may run an online store, but everything to us is personal.
That’s why, in addition to the above, we take great pleasure in supporting causes that matter to our community members. We warm our hearts by donating to charities and events, open houses and more. If we can help in some small way, we will!
